Concert Band
The Cocalico Middle School Band program is open to all instrumentalists, grades 6-8. Students do not need to audition for entrance to Concert Band. All experience levels are welcome to participate! Instrumental lessons are a required component of Concert Band and are scheduled on a rotating basis and grouped by like instruments. Attendance at one sectional per cycle is required. The Concert Band performs a minimum of three concerts per year with additional performances possible scheduled by the director. Membership to the Concert Band is required for students interested in participating in Jazz Band or PMEA/LLMEA band festivals.

Jazz Band
Cocalico Middle School Jazz Band is a club designed to allow 6th-8th grade students to rehearse and perform music related to the jazz/pop field. The Jazz Band meets one time per cycle on day 6 during period 9, and performs for concerts, assemblies, a holiday dinner, and various community groups. Due to the advanced nature of the music, students typically have three years of experience and lessons on an instrument to be eligible.

Marching Band
Students in grades 7-8 also have the opportunity to perform in the fall as a member of the marching band. The marching band experience is very informal and gives students a "taste" of what to expect as a member of the high school marching band. The Middle School Marching Band performs at several local parades and one JV football game.
